Goodbye 2005!!

As you know already, 2005 has been a truely incredible year.

I started off at the Woodford Folk Festival doing the media and interviewing many famous and talented individuals. I then went to China to discover that Western media is full of many more lies and misconceptions than I ever could have imagined followed closely by a trip to the United Arab Emirates where I presented a paper on the state of Online education. Since then I have attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, been travelling down south with some crazy Germans, won an award from QUT (my uni) for Leadership Excellence, been to Scotland for the World Youth Congress, travelled to Thailand and started a support group for Young Australian Women (YAWA). This last semester saw me trying to convince anyone who would listen that young people are fantastic and that is why we should be using them more to get things done!

I have really tried to live by the motto of "be the change you want to see in the world".

Tomorrow is the last day of 2005. I look forward to a relaxing day at the warm though over touristed Gold Coast.

The day after I will be trying to recover and fly away from 2005, across the creek, to New Zealand! I will try to blog when I can...

This is a really exciting time. I don't feel scared anymore about the travels ahead.

I have good vibes for 2006... It's going to be tough but it will also be awesome!

Until next year, good luck, good love and good travels!

Kristiana
