Oh how I love San Fran!

Lena, Cindy, Kristina and I have spent the last few days going nutty in San Fran. We just LOVE that city! The architecture, the people, the vibe, the food and the freedom. Such a fun city.

We stayed the weekend at Avery's parent's place in Davis which is about an hour out of San Fran. Unfortunately Avery got really sick on the way up so she and Jessica had to pass on our daily adventures into The City.

We also got to explore a little of Berkley, including this DEVINE little bistro on Fourth Avenue called The Pasta Shop... yumm.... *drool*...

Lena also got a tattoo on her birthday and I was so happy to have been able to share her first tattoo experience with her in Frisco...

On our last day Kristina and I also ran, danced and fought off the gale force winds as we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge.

Thank you to Cindy, Lena, Jessica, Avery, Kristina and Avery's parents for such a fun few days!

Get well soon Avery.

Whirlwind weekend!

Friday (yes our weekend starts on Friday) we spent 12 and a half hours at Disneyland. This was after clubbing in West Hollywood at Rage and Here the night before, catching up with friends and having a boogy. Disneyland is bomb but man was I tired!!

Kristina had never been to Disneyland and I am pleased to say, she LOVED it! We also managed to make it briefly over to California Park, so that was great too!

For both of us, the favourite ride is definatly Space Mountain! How can soaring through the galaxy be beaten?!?

Saturday we were up at 5am to go and volunteer with the Flying Samaritans at the El Hongo clinic, in the poor border area of Mexico. Although we didn't have as many patients as in times I have been there previously, there were still many people to treat, kids to play with and doctors to learn from (or annoy).

I just can't get past how motivating it is to see these volunteers haul down to Mexico once a month to make a small but massively significant difference to this world!

Saturday night we managed to go out clubbing briefly in downtown fullerton before crashing at Avery and Thashawna's place. Next morning we got up early again to attend the graduation ceremony at CSUF. Did that sound like there was only one? Yeah, that would be because I thought there was only one.

Graduation is SO MUCH BIGGER than I ever imagined! Literally thousands and thousands of students with all their extended families in faculty ceremonies scattered all throughout the entire campus over the course of the entire weekend. It was intense!

We snuck away for a little bit and sought some respite in the Fullerton Arbareetum where we picked and ate some fruit before being picked up by my Godmother and going for lunch. After lunch we went to Long Beach Pride where there were plenty of smiles to share, friendly people to meet, great music to dance to and Jennifer Hudson performing!

It was a most wonderful end to a fantastic and absolutely packed weekend!

Still tired.

Sending love back to Aus.

Back in California!!!

So there has been no mention on this site at all about my travel plans to the States because we wanted it to be a surprise visit and graduation gift to my mates in SoCal. Although I find it difficult to keep my own secrets (and apparently so do my friends), the word still got hidden totally from the one person I didn't want to find out, Lena.

Lena is definately one of my closest mates. She is excentric and random, super friendly and passionate, honest and caring. She regularly comments on my blog and always keeps me in the loop on things happening in the States.

Keeping our trip to the States a secret from Lena was nearly impossible but it everntually worked out and I couldn't have been happier with her reaction, unless of course she hadn't of backed away from me...

Ha ha!

Nice to be back people!!!

Thanks for keeping the secrets and I'll be catching up with as many of you as possible over the next few weeks!

Love you all!
