Apparently famous...

So one of my supervisors over here asked if she had seen me on a billboard, I was all, "you know, it is entirely possible..." not really seriously. As it turns out, she had seen me on a billboard. A billboard on a busy road in the centre of the capital city of the Emirates. HA!

Apparently a photo of me had been taken at this same conference two years ago and someone had the bright idea to make it into one of many billboards advertising the conference this year. For an unknown reason I am pictured beneathe the Canadian flag in my formerly blonde glory!

HA HA!

When the busload of delegates I was responsible for drove past it with me today, a girl from Melbourne all of a sudden turned to me and asked if I was also used in university adventising in Australia. I said "you know, it is entirely possible..." to which she replied, "Yeah, I think I have seen you in billboard advertising for QUT at the Melbourne Central train station".

I was all, "REALLY?!?!" - HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!

So yes, apparently I am quite famous but don't worry loyal fans, I will remember you now and from the top... (just let me ride this ego bubble a little longer...)...

Feelings.

I had forgotten to feel.

I had remembered feeling but had forgotten to forget and just feel.

You made me forget. You made me forget my fears. You made me forget my hurt and because you made me forget, I got scared.

You just smiled. Your smile was contagious so I looked away in case I caught it. But although not immediate, it soon became obvious, I had looked away too late.

I smiled.

I felt.

I smiled some more.

Then a series of unexpected things happened. Not one, not two, but three, three people who had previously shown me how to feel were in contact. All three were beautiful beings, all three were magical spirits and all three were amazing but not one, not two, not either of these three could make me feel now. They just made me smile. They made me smile because they reminded me of an adventure still to come. An adventre with you.

Valentines Day, pfft!

So I am actually dating someone on Valentines this year and I'm still without a date!

No, I lie, I am without my date as my date but have a joyous load of insanity to look forward to tonight.

To all the other dateless LEGENDS out there, you are welcome to join Charlie, Sandra, Jacqui and I at Emporium tonight to snigger and scoff at couples, eat good food and then be revolted by the surrounding affection symptomatic of new love.

Dropped the newby at the airport today and was left with one set of house keys and a silver Rav4. I plan to have zero accidentals and am kinda happily disturbed with my new gain...

Birthday Weekend.

Did anybody else feel that crazy energy Friday? Apparently it was a Leo/Aquarius full moon, whatever it was, I was flying.

I headed off the the beach around lunch time to take the surfboard for a dip because it has been a while since I attempted... Although confirming that I am not the prosurfer I pretend I can be, I was able to discover a new and remarkable ability to swallow amazing amounts of sea water. Yes, I know, call the Guiness Book of World Records now and make sure you get my autograph soon!

Actually, don't worry about the autograph. I promise my loyal following not to forget you...

After beach I went to a mate's house because she decided to host a life drawing class. It was tops! I am a TOTAL artiste! Again, I will remember the little people...

Saturday I had a booking to get my next tat. Around lunch time I rang the artist to let him know I was just going to be about ten minutes late and he let me know he was running about 2 and a half hours late. This was not good and I had to cancel. GAH!

Saturday night was tops! Decided to go to The Beat and the Down Under bars because they are the tackiest and sleaziest places ever, always good fun! And good fun was had!

Armed with "Birthday Girl" scralled across my chest I enjoyed the birthday wishes of many and danced with many more. I even got a date out of my night! WOOT!

Sunday was said date. Went splendidly. Received flowers, was taken out, taken to the park, taken to a movie, met some of the fam... 9 hours later I decided I had a 'potential' on my hands...

Woot woot!
